Asbestos-Related Claims Bar Date in Babcock & Wilcox Bankruptcy

Those who have current Asbestos Personal Injury Claims, Derivative Asbestos Claims or Asbestos Property Damage Claims must file their claims against Babcock & Wilcox by the Bar Date, July 30, 2001. On behalf of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, we have been asked to solicit your help in directing potential claimants to the website http://www.bwbardate.com which includes the Court-ordered Notice, how to get more information and how to file a claim.

Potential claimants, their family or their heirs may have a claim against B&W relating to asbestos exposure from a worksite or ship, among others, that had a B&W boiler system, or involving other B&W asbestos-related components. Claimants who do not file a claim by the Bar Date will lose their right to bring such a claim against B&W in the future. Certain persons, who previously settled claims with B&W but have not yet been paid, must still file claims, AND THEY ARE DUE EARLIER.

More details can be found at the Babcock & Wilcox Bar Date Claims website at http://www.bwbardate.com
